The [Charlotte B Corp Collective](https://cltbcorpcollective.com/?ref=fypsf.com) is a volunteer-led community of Certified and aspiring B Corps in Charlotte. B Lab U.S. & Canada lists it as [B Local Charlotte](https://usca.bcorporation.net/b-local-communities/?ref=fypsf.com).

## Who it's actually for

Founders, operators and sustainability leads at companies that hold B Corp certification or are working toward it. The Collective's site lists 14 Certified B Corps in Charlotte, from local firms such as Barvecue, Mindful & Good, Piercing Sun Consulting, r-it3, Thread Talk and Trash & Stash to national brands with a local presence, out of 78 in North Carolina.

A three-person volunteer board runs it: Shannon Bone, a director of sustainability and impact; Jen Bower, a financial coach at Fortuna Money; and Rachel Martin, founder of Mindful & Good, the studio that built the site. The [stated focus](https://cltbcorpcollective.com/about/?ref=fypsf.com) is practical: support through certification, sustainable banking, impact measurement and reporting, and storytelling for local B Corps.

It is a weaker fit if you don't run or work at a business. For civic advocacy on transit and greenways, [Sustain Charlotte](https://www.fypsf.com/charlotte/communities/sustain-charlotte/) is closer; for hands-on circular economy work, try the [Innovation Barn](https://www.fypsf.com/charlotte/communities/innovation-barn/).

## What they run

[Quarterly events](https://cltbcorpcollective.com/events/?ref=fypsf.com): lunches, tours, networking, webinars and service days. In 2026 that has included a free July session on navigating the new B Corp standards with an early adopter and Roots & Rescue, a September volunteer morning with two local nonprofits. Earlier gatherings included an adaptive reuse tour at Camp North End and a tour, lunch and keynote at the Innovation Barn.

The Collective also shares regional B Corp events on its calendar and sends a quarterly newsletter.

## What it costs

No membership fee is listed. Most local events are free; the March 2026 keynote on digital sustainability was $20\. Regional events it shares are priced by their hosts, such as B Lab U.S. & Canada's B Corp Champions Retreat ($1,695).

## Where

Around Charlotte, at partner venues and member businesses. Recent hosts include Camp North End, the Innovation Barn and Change Please Coffee.
