[The Hurt Hub at Davidson](https://hurthub.davidson.edu/?ref=fypsf.com) is Davidson College's center for innovation and entrepreneurship, at 210 Delburg Street in downtown Davidson, about 20 miles north of Charlotte. It opened in 2018 in a building that was part of the 1920 Davidson Cotton Mill, and it is [named for](https://hurthub.davidson.edu/about-us/?ref=fypsf.com) Jay Hurt '88, who committed $5 million to the effort.

## Who it's actually for

Founders, solopreneurs and remote workers in north Mecklenburg and the Lake Norman area who want a desk with a community and programming attached. Coworking is open to the Greater Charlotte community, not only the college.

Davidson students, who get free access to shared spaces and can apply for funding, join the Davidson Entrepreneurship Club, or work as paid consultants to startups and small businesses through the Davidson College Consulting Group.
