Stanford Climate Week runs through Sunday, and its calendar lists two dozen events: the WRI president on the case for climate optimism tonight, wastewater and space-based solar, extreme heat and public health, a disaster-preparedness build, and a Sunday hike up the Dish. Eighteen of them are below, nearly all free. Saturday is heavy beyond Stanford too, with the Fifth Annual San Mateo County Climate Summit at College of San Mateo, and Sunday brings a youth climate rally and march through downtown San Mateo.

Forty-three events below. Twenty-four are free and open to the public, and nine more are free once your registration is approved.

## Tonight

- **The Case for Climate Optimism**, 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Stanford, with World Resources Institute president and CEO Ani Dasgupta. Free, no approval step.
- At 5:00 9Zero runs two things at once: **The Friction Point** with Acterra at the hub, or a **Creative Cluster Happy Hour** at Zeitgeist that is open to the general public.
- **Agents and humans in exquisite cooperation**, 2:30 to 5:30 PM at 435 Broadway. Free.
- **AI & Election Integrity**, online 2:00 to 3:30 PM with Yes, Democracy! Free.
