9Zero Seattle runs the climate innovation hub on the 15th floor of 1215 4th Avenue downtown. It opened in January 2025 as a partnership between 9Zero, the City of Seattle, the University of Washington and VertueLab.
Who it's actually for
Climate founders, investors, scientists, engineers and the people who work alongside them. Members get a place to work and a directory of collaborators, and the event calendar runs from founder workshops to peer groups and lunch-and-learns.
Mornings like Coffee and Climate are open to everyone, from experienced experts to newcomers, so you can visit before committing.
It is a weaker fit if you are looking for climate community outside a work context. Soapbox Project gathers over dinner every Tuesday.
What they run
Coworking for members, with Club Membership as the entry level and 24/7 memberships and private offices available. 9Zero says it hosts four to six member-organized events a week. Recent Seattle listings include office hours with the Seattle Office of Economic Development, a founders and funders work session, a Women of 9Zero meetup, career and freelancer peer groups, and the Seattle Climate Writers Community.
What it costs
9Zero does not publish membership prices; apply through 9zero.com. Events on the Seattle calendar are free to register for, and most require host approval. Non-members can attend up to three events with the "New to 9Zero" ticket before joining. Some events are members only.
Where
9Zero Climate Innovation Hub, 1215 4th Ave, 15th Floor, Seattle, WA 98101. Parking is in the building, and the bike room is on the C/D level of the garage.
How to start
Request a spot at Coffee and Climate on Thursday, October 29, from 9 to 10 am. It is free with host approval, and you can stay afterward to see the workspace.
