Charlotte's impact community runs on two tracks: a sustainability and B Corp scene centered on the Innovation Barn, and a deep economic-mobility network of Black and Latino business groups, community lenders and resident-led corridor organizations. These are good first rooms on both.
Start here
- Charlotte B Corp Collective: certified and aspiring B Corps, with quarterly lunches, tours and service mornings.
- Innovation Barn: Envision Charlotte's circular-economy hub on Seigle Avenue, open Circular Saturdays from 11am to 4pm with free tours and a Repair Cafe.
- Sustain Charlotte: advocacy for transit, greenways and better land use, and the host of Biketoberfest every October.
- SHARE Charlotte: the city's nonprofit directory and volunteer finder, with sustainability and young-professional mixers.
- Black Business Owners of Charlotte: thousands of Black-owned businesses, and Black Food Truck Fridays every week.
- Latin American Coalition: free workforce, resume and mentorship sessions every week, and the Día de Muertos festival.
- The Hurt Hub at Davidson: Davidson College's innovation center, with coworking open to the community and a social-entrepreneurship track.
- Women's Impact Fund: about 450 women pooling their giving into grants for Charlotte nonprofits.
Where the calendar lives
